US lawmakers term Pak-US relations crucial for stability in SA

A group of US lawmakers has termed relations between Washington and Islamabad as very crucial in South Asia and stressed the importance of the relations with Pakistan.
These views were expressed by them in separate messages on the eve of Independence Day of Pakistan.
Reiterating their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and advancing shared interests, they said Pakistan's policies are pivotal to the stability of South Asia and to American interests in the region.
The lawmakers said the United States enjoys a multifaceted relationship with the people of Pakistan, encompassing a wide scope of fields.
Those who sent messages included Governor Jeff Colyer of Kansas, Senator Gary Peters, Ed Royce, Chairman House Foreign Affairs Committee, J. Luis Correa, member of the House's Homeland Security, Brad Sherman and Ranking Member of House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia.
