Asad Qaiser, Qasim Suri new NA Speaker, Dy Speaker

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's candidates Asad Qaiser and Qasim Khan Suri have been elected as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
In the Speaker's election, Asad Qaiser secured 176 votes while the opposition’s candidate Khurshid Shah got 146 votes.
A total of three hundred-thirty votes were cast. Of these eight were rejected.
Later, outgoing Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq administered oath to the new Speaker.
In the election for Deputy Speaker, Qasim Khan Suri secured 183 votes, while his rival candidate Asad Mehmood got 144 votes.
Later, the newly elected Deputy Speaker took oath of his office. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser administered oath to him.
