Federal Government employees association announces mass protests against PM Shahbaz Sharif

Federal government employees have announced to hold a protest demonstration in front of the parliament against the Prime Minister’s orders of six days working in offices.

All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) held an urgent meeting in Islamabad on Friday and decide to stage a protest on May 12.

In the meeting, the AGEGA rejected the government's decision and said that the employees of the federal ministries and the departments from across the country will participate in the protest.

The meeting decided that the AGEGA’s protest on May 12 will be peaceful. The alliance also decided to use the media to make a public opinion in favour of their demands.

In the meeting, the alliance made demands for the restoration of weekends, an increase in salary and publishing the report of the Pay and Pension Commission.

The meeting also demanded the government that all the federal government employees’ issues including up-gradation and time scale promotion should be solved.
