China responds over steps taken by Pakistan for National Action Plan implementation

*BEIJING: China appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to eliminate terrorism as the South Asian giant issued guidelines for the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP).*

As per details, the spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry said during a media brief that Pakistan’s latest step of releasing guidelines about implementing the NAP in its letter and spirit, deserves acknowledgement from China.

“This step shows Pakistan’s sincerity about the elimination of terrorism and implementation of United Nations Security Council 1267 Sanctions.”

The official asserted that China has complete faith in Pakistan’s NAP and urged the international community to laud these measures for acquiring stability and peace.

On April 12, Pakistan launched guidelines for the implementation of UNSC 1267 Sanctions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

The guidelines were prepared by the National Committee for overseeing implementation of sanctions against individuals and entities designated by the UN Security Council 1267 Al Qaida/Daesh Sanctions regime and Security Council 1988 (Taliban Sanctions regime).

Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua, while speaking at the launching event, said that Islamabad has successfully turned the tide in the fight against terrorism for which there were no parallels.
