Chief Selector Inzamam ul Huq may be sent packing home

ISLAMABAD - Chief Selector, Inzamam ul Haq, has failed to impress the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) with his recent performance, according to sources in the media.

The decision on his future is likely to be made based on the performance of the team in the Cricket World Cup 2019. If the team fails to deliver, Inzamam might be packing his stuff to make way for someone else to perform the duties of Chief Selector.

The former captain was given the role of Chief Selector in 2016 and he has a Champions Trophy title in 2017 under his belt.

The recent 5 drubbings at the hands of Australia in the UAE were also attributed to his poor selection policies and the decision to rest top players.

It is worth mentioning that the legend currently takes Rs 1.2 million as monthly salary from PCB. According to the sources, Moin Khan is likely to replace him as the Chief Selector after the mega event.

Not just Inzamam, the decision of extending the contracts of coaching staff will also be taken after the World Cup
