Pakistan Army operation in FATA busts TTP underground hideouts

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army has intensified the operations across the country under the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and National Action Plan.

Intelligence Based operations are being conducted across the country by the Law Enforcement Agencies and the Intelligence Agencies.

 A Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants hideout was destroyed and a huge cache of weapons was recovered during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Fata, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.

“A huge cache of arms and ammunition including rockets prepared IEDs, explosive, grenades, mortar bombs, different types of weapons and communication equipment from Parachinar, Kurram Agency recovered by Pakistan Army,” the ISPR statement said.



TTP hideout established in underground tunnels in Kalaya, Aurakzai Agency was also decimated during a raid. 

The ISPR said raids were launched as part of the ongoing country-wide military offensive Radd-ul-Fasaad, Army’s media wing said.
