Sindh HC rejects petition against Hajj Policy
KARACHI: Sindh High Court has rejected the petition here at today, submitted by private Hajj operators against Hajj Policy.
As per details, petition was filed by private Hajj operators against Hajj Policy, announced by federal government, claiming that private Hajj operators have been ignored by federal government in this policy.
According to new Hajj policy, private Hajj operators quota have been reduced by government from 50 to 40% but private Hajj operators did not accept this reduction and challenged the policy in Sindh High Court.
They requested court to increase their Hajj quota but their plea has been rejected by court today.
It is also worthy to mention here that according to new policy, 143,000 Hajj Pilgrims would visit Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj. Government scheme has been increased, reducing 10% quota of private Hajj operators after that 60% Hajj Pilgrims would perform Hajj according to government scheme this year.
