Saudi Arabia warns USA over publishing 9/11 Commission Report accusing Kingdom

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia warned USA that if it publish 9/11 Commission Report accusing Kingdom then it will sell off US assets held by Kingdom worth $ 750 billion.

 

Media claimed that the message was delivered by Saudi foreign minister Adel al-Jubeir during his visit to US last month.

 

Media claimed that Adel al-Jubeir met with US lawmakers and revealed that Saudi Arabia will sold all those assets including treasury securities and other assets before they are seized by US courts.

 

Sources claimed that Obama administration asked Congress to block the bill’s passage.

 

Officials from US State Department and Pentagon held meeting to discuss the issue.

 

Economic analysts claimed that its too difficult for Saudi Arabia to do so as it will end up Kingdom’s economy.

 

US claimed that some of the Saudi officials who were living in US in 2002 were involved in the 9/11 attack but Saudi Arabia denied it.

 

Obama will visit Saudi Arabia within few days where he will meet with King Salman and other Saudi officials.
