Khurshid Shah suggests name of Raza Rabbani to head inquiry commission

KARACHI: While rejecting the name of Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmani for inquiry commission head, opposition leader Khurshid Shah proposed name of Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani to lead the inquiry commission to probe into Panama leaks.

While talking to media here at today (Saturday), opposition leader opposed the name of Justice Sarmad for inquiry commission head saying that he respects Sarmad Jalal Osmani but does not accept inquiry commission headed by Sarmad.

He expressed his reservation over the name of Sarmad Osmani saying that his wife is already part of PML-N and she used to say that her husband would also be joining PML-N after retirement while Nawaz Sharif also visited Justice Sarmad house here in 2007.

He demanded to form a parliamentary committee, comprising opposition and government members for finalizing the name of Judge to lead the inquiry commission.

Khurshid Shah proposed Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani name to lead the commission saying that he is credible person for all so he should be given powers and services of technical officers to probe into allegations of Panama leaks.
