Indian Army soldiers kill another protesting Kashmiri Youth fuelling tensions further in Valley 

SRINAGAR: Indian Army soldiers killed another protesting Kashmiri youth in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district that fuelled further tensions in the Valley.

 

The incident occurred when civilians were protesting against the alleged molestation of Indian army soldier that has already killed four  Kashmiris.

 

Army officials claimed that the protesters surrounded their camp and restored stone-pelting and army soldiers opened fire for self defence that lead to one death and wounded three others.

 

“Our post was surrounded by heavy mob and they stormed our cam as result of which, our soldiers fired in self defence,” a spokesman of army said.

 

Soon after the news spread in the town, thousands of people gathered and hold protest against the massacre of Kashmiris.

 

Security forces fired teargas shells at the crowed that injured several protesters critically.

 

The martyred youth was identified as Arif who was a student of 11th class; thousands of Kashmiris participated in his funeral.

 

The protests start after the molestation of a school girl by an army soldier in the Handwara district.

 

Indian Army killed three Kashmiris during protest and imposed curfew in the state.

 

The ruling PDP asked for peaceful protest.

 

It said “Forces should exercise restraint. Killings are unacceptable. We will ensure guilty are punished and justice is delivered.”
