US lawmakers group write letters to both Pakistan and India

WASHINGTON - A group of US lawmakers have expressed grave concern over the situation in occupied Kashmir, urging Indian government to restore communications and allow media to access the territory.
The US Congressmen in a letter to the American envoys in New Delhi and Islamabad urged them to facilitate connections between Kashmiri-Americans and their family members in Jammu and Kashmir.
They also urged them to insist on Indian government to restore communications in Jammu and Kashmir and allow media to access the region.
Signatories to the letter are lawmakers Ilhan Omar, Raul M Grijalva, Andy Levin, James P McGovern, Ted Lieu, Donald Beyer and Alan Lowenthal.
