WASHINGTON - Afghan Taliban made a big mistake, warns President Donald Trump after calling off the dialogues with the group at the eleventh hour.
The U.S. President Donald Trump has said the Taliban group made a big mistake by bombing Kabul which killed at least 12 people including an American soldier.
President Trump said in a Twitter post on Saturday “The Taliban has never been hit harder than it is being hit right now. Killing 12 people, including one great American soldier, was not a good idea.”
Furthermore, Trump said “There are much better ways to set up a negotiation. The Taliban knows they made a big mistake, and they have no idea how to recover!”
President Trump called off peace talks with Taliban group last Sunday in reaction to the deadly attack in Kabul city.
He was due to meet with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Taliban leaders at Camp David before the attack jeopardized the peace efforts.
