Supreme Court grills former Railways Minister Saad Rafique

ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court resumed hearing a case pertaining to monetary losses suffered by Pakistan Railways at Lahore registry on Saturday.
Former railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique was also present in court.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar asked Saad Rafique if he had read the audit report.
Saad said that how he could submit the reply on 1000-page audit report.
The CJ asked Saad Rafiuqe to leave arrogance at home. “I am not here to be insulted,” Rafique said, reminding the court that the code of conduct for judges does not allow them to insult anyone.
Assuring the former minister that he was not being insulted, Justice Nisar said, “It seems that you have come here to insult the court. Just respond to the question you have been asked.”
In response, Rafique said that he had come to the court to be appreciated but all he had received was an admonishment.
Justice Ejazul Ahsan asked the former minister to submit the report and then they would see whether to appreciate or not.
