Deadly storm Florence plays havoc in US

ISLAMABAD - In the US state of Carolina, seven people have been killed by a powerful storm Florence, forcing thousands of other people to stay in emergency shelters.

Weather forecasters have warned of the risk of life-threatening flash flooding in parts of North and South Carolina and Virginia due to the storm.

Evacuation warnings have been issued for 1.7 million people in the region.

According to latest forecast, the storm is expected to pass northwest through South Carolina today and tomorrow morning. After that, it will keep curving to north.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump today approved a disaster declaration for eight North Carolina counties.
