PM Imran Khan breaks silence over by elections results

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan breaks silence over one of the largest by elections held in Pakistan on October 14.
He stated that federal and provincial governments provided level-playing field to all parties in the recently concluded by-elections.
He made these remarks after presiding over a consultative huddle here in Bani Gala today.
Khan went on to say that govt did not meddle in by-elections at any level.
PM also received briefing on below par performance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in by-polls. The minister told PM that inner rifts were the biggest reason behind defeat in some constituencies. Furthermore, ministers did not take part in the election campaign.
Lack of uplift projects ahead of by-polls were also cited as one of key reason behind poor show.
