IMF responds to the Ishaq Dar's claim of best finance minister award

ISLAMABAD: The mystery surrounding the doubtful award to the finance minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar has deepened after the revelation by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that no such award of best finance minister of South Asia has been conferred upon the Pakistani Finance Minister by the IMF.

Although, Ishaq Dar’s spokesman claims that the Finance Minister has received the “Best Finance Minister of the Year for 2016” award, the International Monetary Fund distances itself from any such honour.
