In a first in Pakistan's history, PM Imran Khan donates to national exchequer Rs 1.6 crore watch gifted by Saudi crown prince

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has donated Rs 1.6 crore watch gifted by Saudi crown prince to the national exchequer.
An extremely expensive wristwatch gifted by the Saudi crown prince has been donated by PM Imran Khan, a private media outlet reported Wednesday.
According to reports, the branded – Swiss luxury Chopard– watch worth Rs16.5 million was presented to the prime minister by Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman during the former’s visit to Saudi Arabia last month.
The premier could have kept the wristwatch to himself by paying 10 per cent (1.65 million), however, reports said, the premier decided otherwise and submitted it to the treasury.
It merits a mention here that PM Khan, in October, had reached Saudi Arabia looking for financial assistance from the Saudi leadership to ease the financial crisis Pakistan is facing.
