Culprits behind murder of SP Tahir will be brought to justice: Afridi

Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi has said that Afghan Government confirmed on Wednesday the death of SP Tahir Khan Dawar, who had been kidnapped from Islamabad and taken there.
Making a statement over the incident, he said culprits behind this heinous crime will be taken to task.
He said Tahir Khan Dawar was kidnapped from Islamabad and shifted to Afghanistan via Mianwali and Bannu.
The Minister of State said an FIR was registered in Ramna Police Station, Islamabad on 28th of the November regarding disappearance of the martyred police officer.
He said the previous government had installed about 1,800 cameras in the federal capital under safe city project, but unfortunately, over 600 of them are non-functional.
He said not a single camera is able to capture recognizable pictures of vehicles and dubious people. He urged the House to initiate an inquiry into the safe city project.
The House also offered fateha for the departed soul of martyred SP Tahir Khan Dawar.
Senators paid rich tributes to SP Tahir Khan Dawar and demanded of the government to unearth the mystery behind this incident.
