How to check whether your mobile is smuggled, stolen or original?

LAHORE – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched the Mobile Devices Identification, Registration and Blocking Regulation System (DIRBS) to block stolen, smuggled and duplicate identifiers phones in Pakistan.
DIRBS allows users to verify IMEI number of the mobile device(s) to ensure that device(s) is Genuine, Legal Import with all applicable duties and taxes paid and compliant to DIRBS regulations and SOP.

Users can verify their device by sending an SMS containing IMEI number (Find out IMEI by dialling *#06#) to 8484 and the reply message will provide the status of the device.Users can check through DIRBS application which is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
If users’ mobile device is verified, they will get an SMS “IMEI is compliant.”
