Rs 30 billion transferred to youth in Punjab Rozgar Scheme

Lahore: The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab on Information, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has stated that through the ‘Punjab Rozgar Scheme’ Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is providing business opportunities to improve the economy of Province.

Dr Firdous Ashiq turned to twitter and wrote, “Under the Punjab Employment Scheme, more than Rs 30 billion will be distributed to men, women and transgender”.

She further added, “The Punjab Rozgar Scheme will help Prime Minister Imran Khan's vision to create employment opportunities and curb unemployment”.

Earlier last week, the cheque distribution ceremony under the ‘Punjab Rozgar Scheme’ was held at Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam on Friday in which loans worth Rs. 180 million were distributed to 400 people.

“Initially, checks worth Rs. 180 million were issued to 400 people,” added Dr Firdous.

She further specified that under the scheme, easy loans of Rs. 1 lakh to 1 crore are being given to the youth.
