Coronavirus pandemic, Borders closed, Flights suspended and emergencies declared
ISLAMABAD - Countries across the world are closing borders and suspending flights amid increasing coronavirus cases.
Saudi Arabia has suspended all international flights for two weeks from Sunday.
Australia and New Zealand have ordered all international arrivals to self-isolate.
The United States extended travel ban imposed on European nations to the United Kingdom and Ireland from Tuesday while Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina have closed their borders.
In Europe, France and Spain have announced emergency restrictions to combat the spread of coronavirus while Turkey and Georgia have also closed their border crossing.
In Africa, some countries have declared state of emergency while others have banned gatherings and cancelled fight operations.
Meanwhile, in India, the number of coronavirus cases has risen to 107 with two deaths reported so far. It also closed its border check-posts and suspended flight.
