ISLAMABAD - Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal Friday said Pakistan wanted a peaceful neighborhood, therefore it was doing all-out efforts to maintain peace in the region.

Talking to a private news channel, he said Kartarpur corridor was the first step to facilitate the minorities living in India and was the start for opening other religious places of minorities in Pakistan.

“In order to maintain peace both sides (India and Pakistan) need to be on the same page,” he said.

Pakistan wanted comprehensive dialogues with India to move forward for resolving Sir Creek, Siachen glaciers issues and also wanted people-to-people contact, trade and an effective SAARC.

However, Dr Faisal said if India did not want to have dialogue with Pakistan, they have the right to respond in the same way.
