Pakistan Foreign Office responds over deadly shootings in New Zealand mosques

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Foreign Office responds over deadly shootings in New Zealand mosques that killed over 40 people.

The Foreign Office (FO) on Friday condemned the shooting outside two mosques in New Zealand city of Christchurch which, reportedly claimed multiples lives.

Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal tweeted, “Pakistan condemns the tragic terrorist incident in New Zealand. Our High Commission is in touch with the local authorities and trying to ascertain details.”

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has also condemned the heinous incident.

“FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi has condemned in the strongest terms the tragic terrorist attack in Christchurch, NewZealand.

FM has expressed condolences over [the] loss of innocent lives in the heinous attack,” he tweeted.
