Afghan airstrikes killed 17 militants in Ghazni province

KABUL: In Afghanistan, at least seventeen militants have been killed and twelve others sustained injuries after the fighting aircrafts pounded the armed opposition forces' hideouts in Gero district of Ghazni province.
According to an army statement issued today, militants affiliated with different groups including Taliban and al-Qaida are operational in the troubled Gero district and other parts of the restive province.
