LONDON - Princess to be Meghan Markle was kidnapped by British Special Forces and subsequently rescued as a part of counter terror training.
She has been given terror training to prepare her for her future status in the British Royal Family.
The 36-year-old bride-to-be was given a two-day training course under the supervision of Britain’s SAS special forces to prepare for emergency situations.
As part of the training the bride-to-be was kidnapped and rescued. Markle was abducted by British Special Forces and was held hostage by mock kidnappers. The training was done with real ammunition to help her recognize the sound of real gunfire.
She was further given lessons on how to interact and communicate with kidnappers and taught how to survive outdoors in case she succeeds to escape.
The training was very rigorous and one that could ‘frighten the life out of anyone’.
Markle receives 24-hour armed protection from the UK’s Royalty ad Specialist Protection Command. Keeping in view a range of potential threats, she is being prepared for her wedding ceremony that is to follow in the fall of this year.
All senior royals have received the terror training except for Queen Elizabeth II. Kate Middleton took the training after her marriage to Prince William but Markle was asked to take the training before the wedding due to the heightened security threat.
