He inaugurated the service by handing over the keys of the vehicles to the relevant officials of Civil Defense Department in Muzaffarabad today (Thursday).
Our Muzaffarabad Correspondent reports that under AJK Civil Defense Department, a development scheme “Emergency Services Rescue 1122” for Rawalakot and Jehlum Valley costing 159.657 million rupees has been started.
Under this scheme, two ambulances, two fire fighters and a rescue vehicle were purchased to run this program. Ambulances were provided to both the cities last year.
It is pertinent to mention here that there was a dire need of fire fighters in these cities particularly Jhelum Valley as no effective mechanism was available there.
Earlier, Prime Minister inspected the vehicles and expressed his satisfaction over the facility.
