Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif Tuesday said that the international community has acknowledged  achievements and success of the operation Zarb-e-Azb.

 

Pakistan Army was successfully fighting against terrorism and it had achieved immense success in war against terrorism, he said talking to a private news channel.

 

The minister said, "Our forces had maintained peace not only in the tribal areas but also in cities and streets."

 

Commenting on recent firing on Torkham border, he said the enemy  wants to sabotage the success of Zarb-e-Azb. Major Ali Jawad's martyrdom will not go in waste, he added.

 

He said Taliban chief Mulla Fazal Ullah is present in Afghanistan and perpetrating terrorist activities against Pakistan rightly under the nose  of Afghan administration. He was involved in the killing of Pakistani civilians.

 

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said Pakistan was capable to defend its soil.

 

The terrorism had been exported by Afghanistan to Pakistan, he added.
