MQM-P announces its manifesto

KARACHI: Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announcing his party manifesto in Karachi on Saturday said if voted to power long term reforms will be introduced in the police , education and other departments.

Addressing the press conference, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that his party will continue its struggle to make Pakistan a welfare state as envisioned by the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and other founding leaders.

He said MQM will also take concrete steps to promote education and increase literacy rate. He said that quota system must be abolished as it is damaging merit system.

He said we need to make the system of basic health units more efficient for this purpose we had propose 5 percent increase in the budget of health.

The MQM leader said that Pakistan will develop in case democracy prevails.
