Parliamentary Union of OIC 13th session to kick off in Tehran

TEHRAN - Thirteenth session of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries (PUIC) will begin in Tehran on Tuesday.
A seven-member National Assembly delegation led by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is representing Pakistan in the annual gathering of parliamentarians from fifty-six Muslim countries.
Ahead of the session, the Standing Committees on Political and International Affairs and the Committee on Human Standing Rights, Women and Family Affairs unanimously passed two resolutions on Kashmir moved by Pakistani delegation, which will be given final approval in the session.
The resolutions highlight the gross human rights violations and continued denial of freedoms to Kashmiris by the Indian forces.
