Mohammad Irfan rejects unique and lucrative offer from US Club

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani fast bowler Muhammad Irfan has been given a unique offer by a club in United States. Muhammad Irfan is nowadays not playing for Pakistan Cricket Team.

However he has declined an offer from a US basketball club to play for them.

“I have an offer from an American basketball club to play for them, but I cannot quit playing cricket for Pakistan,” the world’s tallest cricketer told SAMAA. The pacer, however, said that he would go to the United States to train and improve his fitness.

“I shall play for Pakistan only,” he reiterated.

The pacer is out of favour since he was named among cricketers involved in a spot-fixing scandal during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Irfan was accused of failing to reveal a corrupt approach, a charge he accepted and had to face a six-month cricket ban.
