Indian troops martyr five youth in Baramulla

SRINAGAR: Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism have martyred five more youth in Baramulla district, on Monday.

They were martyred during a joint operation launched by the Indian army and Central Armed Police Force in Uri area of the district.

Kashmiris demand that the Valley be united under Pakistani rule. Anti-India sentiment runs deep in the region, and most people support the rebels’ cause against Indian rule while also participating in civilian street protests against Indian control.

Nearly 70,000 people have been killed in the uprising and the ensuing Indian military crackdown.

On the other hand, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said that India will not succeed silencing Kashmiris’ voice through military means.

The spokesperson said that the only solution to Kashmir issue is to hold an UN-sponsored plebiscite in the occupied territory as promised in the resolutions of the Security Council.
