COAS appreciates role of HIT Factories in meeting needs of Armed Forces

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) here on Thursday where he was briefed over commercial and defense production.
As per ISPR statement, Army Chief was briefed in details regarding security vehicles and protectors while he was also briefed over the preparation of Al-Khalid Tank and Armor Personal Carrier (APC).
Gen. Raheel also witnessed the production and demonstration of Al-Khalid Tank.
Army Chief lauded the role of Heavy Industies Texila in producing international standard arms to meet defense needs. He also appreciated HIT for supporting field formations including operation Zarb-e-Azab.
