Pompeo calls for new era of cooperation in Middle East

Addressing a meeting of foreign ministers and other officials from more than sixty countries in Warsaw, he said no country can afford to stay on the sidelines in tackling the regional challenges.

The Warsaw meeting was a rare show of Middle East cooperation, bringing together Israel and Gulf Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Addressing the conference, US Vice President Mike Pence demanded of the European Union allies to leave the Iran nuclear deal. He also warned of further US sanctions on Tehran.

Pence denounced a new initiative by France, Germany and Britain to let European businesses keep operating in Iran despite renewed US sanctions.
