Pakistan Navy increases surveillance and security at Gwadar Port

GWADAR: Pakistan Navy has decided to further strengthen security personnel deployed for surveillance and security of Gwadar Port. The decision was taken to meet fresh security challenges with the development of deep sea port at Gwadar.
As per details, a special Marine Battalion will be deployed for the security of port. The marines will provide security to sea links and trade ships.
Pakistan Navy officials visited the coastal belts of Gwadar and Karachi and said that new division is being deployed in anticipation of trade activities through Gwadar. The volume of trade is expected to increase with the completion of CPEC.
The PN officials added that special marines battalion will provide security to the coastlines of Karachi Harbour and Sir Creek areas as well as Chinese engineers who are working at Gwadar Port.
