20 Nations military exercise including Pakistan starts in Northern Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Armed forces from 20 countries gathered in Northern Saudi Arabia to start largest ever regional drills.
The drill includes ground, air and naval forces from Persian Gulf Arab countries and allies like Pakistan.
At least 350,000 forces along with 2,540 warplanes, 20,000 tanks and 460 helicopters will participate in drills.
The drills would start on Monday and lasts for 18 days.
The code name of exercise is “Ra’ad Al-Shamal” (Thunder of North).
Brigadier Ahmad Asiri claimed that the joint drills will boost fighting capabilities, exchange information and enhance coordination between participating countries.
Country‘s news agency claimed that joint drills will send a clear message that Saudi Arabia and its allies are standing united to confront challenge of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
