Federal government takes important decision over the senate elections

Islamabad: The federal government has decided to reschedule the Senate election, with a plan to hold them in February instead of March 2021.
According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan took the decision during a meeting of the federal cabinet on Thursday.
It was also deiced that open polling will be held through ‘show of hands’ process in order to curb "horse trading".
Sources added that the government has also decided to move the Supreme Court to ensure the Senate elections are held in February.
During the meeting, Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan briefed the cabinet about legal matters regarding the early elections.
