Russian nuclear missile system sends panic waves to NATO

LONDON - NATO has expressed concerns about a Russian missile system capable of carrying nuclear warheads saying it could violate a landmark Cold War arms treaty.

The U.S-led military alliance in a statement in Brussels today(Friday) urged Russia to address these concerns in a substantial and transparent way, and actively engage in a technical dialogue with the United States.

Tensions between NATO and Russia have remained high since Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula in 2014, following an attack on Georgia in 2008.
