Pakistan-India to open Blind WC campaign

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India will lock horns on January 8, 2018 at Lahore in the opener of the 5th Edition of World Cup Cricket of the Blind (ODI format) to be held in Pakistan and UAE.

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Thursday announced the schedule of the World Cup Cricket of the Blind (ODI format) to be held in Pakistan and UAE from January 7 to 21, 2018, said a press release issued here.

The opening ceremony will take place at Lahore and Ajman on January 7, 2018.

The 1st match of the World Cup will be played between Pakistan and India at Gaddafi Stadium. On the same day, the other match will be played between Nepal and Bangladesh at Lahore Gymkhana Cricket Ground Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh on January 9 at Jinnah Stadium Gujranwala while India will play against Nepal at Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad and Australia will take on Sri Lanka at Ajman (UAE) on the same date.

The grand final of the World Cup will be held at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on dated 21stJanuary 2018.
