Airstrikes kill 23 in Syria

In Syria, twenty three people were killed in the US-led coalition airstrikes in eastern Deir Ezzor province.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least 23 civilians including eight children and six women were killed in airstrikes in eastern banks of the Euphrates river.
The Observatory said those who were killed were hiding inside a house and were all members of the same family.
The US-backed forces are currently battling to capture the last scraps of Islamic State militants controlled territory in the area.
