Pakistan's first remote sensing satellite becomes operational

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's first remote sensing satellite PRSS-1 has started working in the space from Tuesday.
Pakistan also took control of the satellite today, which was launched last month from China.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk congratulated the engineers and scientists of SUPRCO on achieving this milestone.
In their messages, they said the milestone has been achieved on the Independence Day.
They said launch of the satellite and its operationalization will enhance confidence of the space engineers. They said the satellite will play an important role in socio-economic development of the country.
It merits a mention here that satellites PSSR-I and PakTES-1A were prepared in Pakistan and launched from China on 9th of last month. APP
