Syria airstrikes by US grossly breach UN Charter: Putin

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that air strike by the United States and its allies in Syria grossly breach the United Nations Charter and principles of international law.
This he said in a telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Quoting Kremlin official, the Russian news agency Tass said two heads of state think it necessary to intensify bilateral cooperation to get ahead with the political solution in Syria.
Earlier, Erdogan said that Turkey thought the US-led strike on Syria was right and justified.
Besides, he added that relations of Russia and the United States should get back on "peaceful track" as soon as possible.
