Pakistan Railways need atleast 10 - 12 years to stand on its feet: Minister

ISLAMABAD - Minister for Railways Saad Rafique has said that the system of Pakistan Railway is improving day by day but it needs ten to twelve years to stand on its feet.

He said recruitment was made on merit basis and the government has saved Railway from privatization.

Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique says the number of passengers of Pakistan Railways has increased by 14 million during the current government's tenure.

Talking to media in Lahore today, he said that the confidence of the people has been restored in the railways with the effective policies of government.

The minister said Pakistan Railways has introduced online ticketing system to facilitate the passengers.
