Over 700 Palestinians wounded in Gaza by Israeli Military shooting


JERUSALEM *– Spokesperson for Palestinian Authority Health Ministry Ashraf al-Qodrat said on Friday that the number of Palestinians wounded in the third Friday of Great March of Return rose to 701.*

Palestinian news agency Wafa quoted the spokeswoman as saying that some 17 medical personnel and several journalists were also injured during Israeli shooting at Palestinian protestors.

On the third day of rallies dubbed ‘Setting fire to flag of occupying regime’, a large Israeli flag was placed on the ground for demonstrators to walk on it.

On March 30, Gazans staged a demonstration called ‘Great March of Return’ to mark the “Day of Palestine Land’, but Israeli forces fired at them, killing 17 and injuring over 1,800 Palestinians.

Day of Palestine Land’ has turned into a symbol of Palestinians’ resistance against the occupying Zionists.

The protests, planned to last six weeks, call for return of Palestinian refugees to their homes that are now inside Israel.
