Islamabad Police directed to ensure foolproof security on Easter

ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Islamabad Sajid Kiani has directed police officials to ensure high vigilance and effective security measures in the Federal Capital on Easter.
The SSP, in his special directives, asked all the zonal police officers to hold conduct meetings with church administrations about security related issues. He said high alert should be maintained around Christian colonies, churches, graveyards and public places.
Following the SSP's directives, SP City Zubair Ahmed Sheikh arranged a meeting with the administrations of churches in his area, which was also attended by relevant police officials.
He assigned security duties to policemen and asked for enhancing checking as well as maintain complete coordination with the church administrations.
He said that proper parking arrangements should be made and high vigilance to be maintained against suspects.
Likewise, SP (Rural) Dr Syed Tanveer Mustafa and SP (Saddar) Muhammad Hassan Iqbal have also taken measures for high alert security in their respective areas and patrolling has been also enhanced.
The church administrations have also thanked the Islamabad police for security measures and assured their complete cooperation. (APP)
