SRINAGAR: Complete Shutter down strike continues in Indian Occupied Kashmir on Handwara incident of killing 2 youths and an aged women by Indian Army firing.
The call was given by Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gillani who remained under house arrest and some detained in police stations.
All commercial establishments and public transport remained off in response to the strike call.
Indian forces imposed curfew in the area and cordoned Lal Chowk and other places with wires in order to put away protesters.
Earlier, Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq announced to lead a protest march after Friday prayer.
Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said “Our martyrs are neither sacrificial animals nor sheep and goat. Forces including police have crossed all limits of shamelessness.”
Days before, Indian Army martyred three Kashmiris and injured several by firing on a protest that was held against the sexual harassment of a teenage student girl by Indian soldier.
