Shah Mahmood calls on Aftab Sherpao

CHARSADA: PTI delegation led by Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chief Aftab Sherpao here at today in Charsada to discuss the scandal of Panama Leaks.

 

As per details, PTI delegation and Aftab Sherpao exchanged views over the issue of Panama Leaks in the meeting. While talking to media after the meeting, Shah Mahmood said that PTI and QWP have the same stance over the Panama Leaks scandal.

 

The issue is not only PM Nawaz but 250 people whose names appeared in Panama Leaks so we want transparent investigation into the Panama Leaks allegations.

 

While responding to the allegations of ministers against PTI about derailment of democracy, Shah Mahmood made it clear that PTI is fighting for the survival of democracy instead of its derailment while PTI has never thought about the destabilization of Pakistan.

 

People want to know about the reality of Panama Leaks that’s is why government is being forced to form an independent commission under Chief Justice of Pakistan to investigate the issue of Panama Leaks, PTI leader elaborated, stating that sit-in protest would be the last option if commission is not constituted by the government.

 

Qureshi further made it clear that PTI is going to celebrate its foundation day in Islamabad on April 24 instead of sit-in protest and people would disperse peacefully after the end of Jalsa at F-9 Park.

 

Speaking at the occasion, Aftab Sherpao thanked PTI delegation for consulting his party over the issue and appreciated the decision of PTI to take all the opposition parties into confidence over the Panama scandal.

 

He further explained that QWP back the stance of PTI to investigate the issue by sitting SC Judge however, we would not become the part of PTI sit-in protest in Raiwind.
