Pakistan and Turkish Foreign Ministers held important talks in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Turkey foreign ministers held delegation level talks in Islamabad today.

Both agreed to further enhance trade and economic relations.

The understanding came during a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Islamabad.

Addressing a joint news conference with the Turkish counterpart, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan and Turkey have excellent relations while Turkey have always stood by Pakistan in the hour of trial.

The Turkish FM termed the friendship of both the countries ‘everlasting’. He declared Pakistan as his ‘second home’.

Before the conference, delegation level talks were also held between the two delegations at the foreign office during which the entire gamut of bilateral relations was discussed. ------------------------------

The Pakistani side was led by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while the Turkish side by his counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. The two delagations exchanged views on the ways and means to further promote economic and trade relations.
