Pakistan Railways to introduce 10 new trains by end of 2018

Pakistan Railways will introduce another ten new passenger trains by end of this year to facilitate travelers.

An official in the Railways Ministry said on Sunday that the decision was taken on directives of Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed under the government's hundred days plan.

He said Pakistan Railways has already inaugurated operations of three passenger trains including Mianwali Railcar, Rawalpindi Express and Faisalabad non-stop trains during previous month.

The official said three more trains including Mohenjodaro Express, Rohi Express in Sindh and a train for low income people from Karachi to Peshawar will also be launched soon.

He said Pakistan Railways is also planning to increase the number of freight trains from ten to fifteen.
