ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif has refused to answer key questions in the infamous Al Azizya reference.
Sharif recorded his statement in Al-Azizia reference under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Ex-prime minister said that he didn’t hold any public office from October 12, 1999 to May 2013 and that he submitted the wealth tax returns by himself.
Nawaz has answered 45 out of 50 queries and requested the court to allow him to record statement in remaining five questions after consultation with his lawyer Khawaja Haris.
He also refused to respond to the question related to his son Hussain Nawaz’s tax returns.
Previously, the judge had remarked that accountability court would inform apex court about the progress in remaining two corruption references against the Sharif family.
