DG Rangers Sindh says foreign intelligence agencies network broken in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Director General (DG) Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Saeed Monday said law and order situation of Karachi was much better as compared to past, disclosing that foreign intelligence agencies were involved in terrorism activities in Pakistan.

Rangers were effectively working to establish complete peace in the metropolitan city. Armed forces, law enforcement agencies, police, rangers and nation had rendered sacrifices for restoration of peace in Karachi, he said talking to a private news channel.

He said Karachi operation was launched with the consensus of all the political parties, adding incidents of target killing, extortion, killing for ransom and terrorism activities were routine matters in Karachi in past, but the operation had eliminated the menace of terrorism from the city.

He said today’s Karachi was much better and peaceful and it was the responsibility of all to uphold it in future as well.
